This fourth Christmas album brought Rogers back to the charts, both with the album itself (#10 on the country charts, #63 pop and #1 on the Christmas and Christian charts), but also with a single ("Mary, Did You Know?" with Wynonna Judd made it to #55 on the country charts). ''The Gift'' was originally released in 1996 on the independent Magnatone Records.
